Statesville, North Carolina

Statesville is a small city in Iredell County located directly to the north of the Charlotte metro area, just past Lake Norman. With about 25,000 residents, Statesville is a family-friendly place to live and has a quaint, well-preserved downtown. Statesville may be small but there are several parks, dozens of small businesses and chain stores alike, and even a country club within the city limits.

Overall, the people of Statesville place a big emphasis on community. In fact, the township was twice-named an “All-America City” for achievements in community-wide endeavors. There are several large festivals here each year including the ever-popular Carolina Balloon Fest hot air balloon festival. The city’s restaurant scene is varied with standouts like the Twisted Oak bar and grill and 220 Café always busy. An adorable downtown business district is imminently walkable and always bustling with families and locals on weekends.

People love living in Statesville because it provides a small town vibe just minutes from all the conveniences of the “Big City.” A quick trip down I-77 lands residents right in Uptown Charlotte which makes for an easy commute. Home appreciation in Statesville is on the rise, but the cost of living here is still far lower than in Charlotte proper. Now is a great time to invest in one of Charlotte’s best neighboring towns.
