Wesley Chapel, North Carolina

Though Wesley Chapel wasn’t incorporated until 1998, the name has been associated with this area since the early 1800s. Though it’s incorporated, the Union County town is technically a “village,” with only about 8,000-9,000 residents. Several historic homes and churches can be found here, but you’ll also find a thriving, upscale community with a thoughtfully-planned town center.  Because of the community’s care in preserving its small-town feel and proceeding cautiously with development, the exceptional growth that has occurred since it was incorporated has produced a gracious, quietly bustling town with unique shops, dining establishments, and flourishing community events.

Add in Wesley Chapel’s close proximity to Charlotte’s city center and the area’s much-touted public school system, and you’ve got a recipe for growth. People are flocking to this southeastern community which is driving home prices upward. It’s a small area, but much of it remains ripe for development over the course of the next few years, so new construction homes are popular.

Today, people buy homes in Wesley Chapel for the easy commute to Charlotte, the low property taxes, and the beautiful natural setting.  A variety of homes can be found here, from modest single-family construction to rural estates. While the area has grown considerably in the last two decades, residents hold tenaciously to their desire to maintain high standards for growth, design, and development, so you won’t see a Wal-Mart pop up in downtown anytime soon! Wesley Chapel is a picturesque, upscale community, all within reach of Charlotte.
